Firstly, I’d like to introduce myself;

My name is Marley and I am the owner of MK SALON, a hair and beauty salon in Oulton Broad.

As well as this I am also an interior designer and table decor expert.

I love to express my creativity wherever I can and nothing pleases me more than creating a fabulous space to enjoy a celebratory meal with loved ones.

In the world of home decor, personal touches can elevate a space making it feel uniquely yours. Recently, I embarked on a creative journey to design an Easter table, that not only reflects my style, but also brings warmth and character to my dining area over the festive period. Here’s a glimpse into my process and the final result that has become the centre piece of many gatherings.

The Inspiration

Every great decor starts with inspiration. I drew mine from the beauty of nature and my Easters as a child. I wanted to create a setup that would seamlessly blend elegance with a touch of coziness. Think earthy tones, bright colours and cuteness. This vision led me to select a colour palette of muted woodland greens, bright pastels and meadow browns, all reminiscent of a classic but classy Easter.

The Materials

To achieve the desired look, I gathered a mix of materials that would complement each other while providing an inviting atmosphere. Here’s a run down of what I used:

• Table Runner: I chose a soft linen table runner in a blush pink, adding a natural element that softens the table’s surface and acts as a subtle backdrop for other decor.

• Centerpiece: A mixture of many items four greenery garland, two Easter egg garlands, 30 individual colour eggs, little wicker baskets filled with small individual eggs matching the other eggs keeping it all connected. Two large grass affect rabbits with six small matching rabbits giving a family feel along with all there carrots of course! I have also intertwined micro LED lights to add that last little touch for the last spring evenings.

• Candles: To create a warm ambiance, I incorporated an assortment of candles in varying heights. I opted for gold pillar candles holders matching with the cut really cutlery, placed strategically along the table. Their flickering light adds a layer of intimacy perfect for any occasion.

• Greenery: To complete the look, I used small pots of succulents and fresh herbs, such as rosemary and thyme. These not only provide a burst of greenery but also infuse the scene with delightful scents.

• Window pieces: I found the beautiful wooden branched bunny in a local shop to me and just had to get him! I then dressed him with small little artificial carrots and wood I found in my garden that was growing moss on them already which really added that finally little touch.

The Assembly

With all my components ready, it was time to assemble. I started by laying down the table runner, ensuring it was centred and had enough overhang on each side. Next, I placed the garlands in the middle, artfully arranging the eggs, baskets and trees for a natural yet curated look.

Following this, I scattered the candles along the length of the table. I mixed taller candles with shorter ones, creating an organic asymmetry that draws the eye but feels effortless. Lastly, I nestled the baskets filled with mini eggs around the candles, adding layers and depth to the decor.

The Impact

Upon completing my table decor, the transformation was nothing short of magical. The combination of colours, textures, and scents created an inviting atmosphere that effortlessly draws guests in. Whether it’s a casual dinner with family or a festive gathering with friends, this decor has become a conversation starter and a source of joy.

Final Thoughts

Creating this table decor has not only enhanced my dining experience but also allowed me to express my creativity and taken my back to my childhood. It serves as a reminder that with a little imagination and some thoughtful choices, anyone can transform their spaces into beautiful retreats. So, gather your favourite materials, let your style shine, and start creating a decor that is as unique as you are!
