Polly Vincent, business consultant
@polly_means_business, owner of @enhance_cosmetic_clinic, and permanent makeup expert celebrates a year…
Welcome to this special column celebrating a milestone in my journey with Places and Faces! It’s hard to believe that it’s been a full year since I began sharing my stories and experiences with you. This past year has been filled with incredible moments and unforgettable experiences, and it’s been a privilege to share them with you.
From the joys of motherhood with Penelope to exciting developments at Enhance Cosmetic Clinic, the year has been full of change and growth. We’ve welcomed new students into our training academy, launched innovative products, and attended a range of events and conferences. Polly Means Business, my business consultancy, has flourished, and at the clinic we even celebrated winning a Customer Service Excellence award.
Connecting with you, my wonderful readers, has been one of the most rewarding aspects of this journey.
It’s always heartwarming when people approach me to talk about the column and share how it resonates with them. Whether it’s updates on Penelope, news from the clinic, or our latest events, your support and enthusiasm mean so much to me.
I’ve always had a creative eye for styling, I must get it from my dad, Ray Vincent, who was a professional photographer and business owner. Whilst I often collaborate with talented local photographers from Norfolk and Suffolk, many of the images featured in this column are merely taken on my iPhone.
I feel this approach keeps things authentic and true to my style. My nanny has been another pillar of support, proudly keeping every column and sharing them with visitors. Her favourite issue is the inspirational women edition, which is particularly dear to our family.
To celebrate reaching this one-year milestone with Places and Faces, I’m thrilled to offer a special 10% discount on any treatment at Enhance Cosmetic Clinic throughout September for all our readers. It’s our way of thanking you for your continued support and being part of this journey.
Last month, we highlighted the expansion of our PMU training academy, and I’m delighted to announce that we’ve already welcomed two new passionate students. One of them even shared that she keeps her brow bible on her bedside table, reading it nightly—a true testament to her dedication! We are still accepting new students, and for the remainder of this year, we’re offering a special 30% discount on our training courses. I’m also on the hunt for the next junior PMU artist to emerge from our academy, ready to join our talented team.
Becoming a new mum since I first started the column has been eye-opening. The experience has shifted my focus more towards training and empowering women. For me, achieving financial freedom has been crucial, allowing me to spend quality time with Penelope, which has been a beautiful experience. I am passionate about providing other women with the opportunity to achieve a balance between work, family, and home life.
At Enhance Cosmetic Clinic, we pride ourselves on being a supportive and flexible workplace, especially for women balancing careers and family. We offer adaptable working hours and are particularly accommodating for mothers returning from maternity leave, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive. This commitment to flexibility and support makes us a beacon for this type of employment, particularly in the Lowestoft area.
I also have a special event on the horizon that I’m really looking forward to—another networking event, this time held at the Gherkin in London. It’s going to be high glamour and fast-paced, and I can’t wait to rub shoulders with the PMU superstars from around the globe. It will be a fantastic opportunity to network, meet new faces, and reconnect with those I already know.
I’m eager to strengthen my understanding of the latest trends in the PMU industry and discuss how we can continue to improve our services ethically, morally, and technically for the people of East Anglia.
On a personal note, Sam and Penelope are doing wonderfully. Sam recently enjoyed a fantastic trip to Ibiza for his brother’s 30th birthday, whilst I rented one of the new horizon beach huts on Lowestoft seafront; it was a perfect way to relax and enjoy the seaside with Penelope. We also had a blast at Holly’s ‘Yee Ha’ Hen do, a festival-themed celebration that was so much fun.
As the seasons change, it’s the ideal time to focus on skincare, especially after the summer sun.
Treatments like our exclusive Hydrafacial can rejuvenate your skin by deep cleaning away sunscreen and debris from the warmer weather.
As the temperature cools it’s the perfect time for those considering permanent makeup, as it aids in the healing process.
Thank you all for being a part of this incredible journey over the past year. A special thanks to Places and Faces magazine for the platform and support. Here’s to another year of sharing, growing, and celebrating all the beautiful moments life has to offer.
