Extraordinary Escapes

Life & Living

Season two of Extraordinary Escapes with Sandi Toksvig is even better than the first for one reason… there are more episodes to enjoy. The first had four amazing episodes, whereas the second outing has seven, featuring an amazing 21 extraordinary properties. Episode two of the new season ventures to Norfolk with Casualty and Ackley Bridge actor Sunetra Sarker. Deep in the Broads National Park, they take a boat trip to their first stop – an imaginatively extended mill keeper’s cottage, complete with its own renovated windmill. Their next stop-off is a property that blends old with new, with an ancient chapel as its centre. Built on the grounds of a derelict workhouse, the duo marvel at the private walled gardens, then head out on a seal-spotting adventure at Blakeney Point. Lastly, they stay in a beautifully renovated Victorian pump house, set in a remote and unique location.

Here we have a small glimpse of these beautiful locations, however if you want to see them in their full glory you can watch the full episodes on demand. Each of the properties featured are a reminder of how much there is to enjoy and explore in the UK.

Need more? Haven’t watched season one yet? Check out the first ever episode where Sandi takes the much loved Alison Steadman to explore three glorious staycation sanctuaries in Suffolk.

Both seasons are available to stream now
