Let’s chat about eyebrows!

When I first introduced Permanent Makeup (PMU) to Lowestoft, I was truly pioneering the craft.

At that time, no one in the area understood what PMU was. Since then, the number of technicians has exploded—both skilled and, unfortunately, some not so great

It’s crucial to choose a professional clinic; the industry does have its share of cowboys. Many clients can easily be tempted by low prices, often overlooking the potential health risks and unsatisfactory results.

Always check Google reviews and look for credible before-and-after photos. Remember, filtered images can be deceiving!

Eyebrows are the pillars of our faces. Well-placed brows can make us look more inviting, whilst poorly shaped ones can create unwanted impressions. A good brow can even slim the face and open up the eyes! I’ve had clients come into the clinic with sparse, barely there brows, and they leave looking years younger.

Common Eyebrow Mistakes

Here are a few red flags to watch out for:

• Poor Healing & Infection: Indicates a lack of professionalism.

• Colour Choice: You can have perfectly applied brows, but if the colour is wrong, it throws everything off.

• Overworking the Brow: Excess pressure and poor-quality needles can cause damage.

At Enhance Cosmetic Clinic, we take time to understand every clients’ needs and desires. A thorough consultation process is key to ensuring that both artist and client have transparency and trust before treatment commences. It’s not just about the aesthetics; we want to know who our clients are as individuals.

Not all eyebrow mishaps can be fixed; some may require removal first. This can be costly and painful, so it’s vital to choose the right technician from the start. Remember, unlike when you visit your hairdresser for a cut and colour, once the skin is tattooed, that pigment is layered into the skin for years.

The Perfect Brow Experience

With the right artist, the experience can be magical. We offer complimentary consultations where we discuss colour, shape, and aftercare.

Our state of the art equipment and pigment range is certified Reach compliant, so you know we’re using safe products that have been thoroughly tested for use.

Now is a great time for PMU—not just for brows, but also for lips and eyeliner. Many clients say their only regret is that they didn’t come in sooner. And trust me, I hear a lot about life-changing experiences!

Avoiding Common Drawing Mistakes

Here are some common mistakes to steer clear of:

• Using heavy makeup that’s too dark or harsh.

• Wobbly, smudgy pencil lines that lead to uneven brows.

• Placing brows too close together, which makes the eyes look smaller.

• Excessively long tails that can create a droopy effect to the eyes.

Trends may come and go, but we focus on what works best for each unique face shape. Lamination is also a lovely treatment that can be combined with PMU for added texture and definition with existing hair once healed.

Personal Note

On a more personal note, I can hardly believe Penelope’s first birthday is just around the corner! It feels like just yesterday she was a tiny newborn.

We’re planning a cute tea party with family and, of course, Penelope’s favourite teddies. I’m really looking forward to celebrating this milestone; it’s a special moment for us as parents and a lovely way to reflect on how much she’s grown in just a year.

And speaking of celebrations, we’ve got Black Friday coming up! At the clinic, we always offer fantastic discounts during this time, so do keep an eye out on our socials for those unmissable deals.

Thank you for reading, and I hope this helps you navigate the world of permanent makeup.
