The Minimalistic Look

A minimalistic home interior typically uses a very basic set of colours. Whites, off-whites, soft greys and neutral colour schemes are the key colours for a minimalistic home. Not only are these very standard colours, but they also provide the advantage of being very subtle. By sticking with neutral colours, you’ll find that you can play with different textures and lighting in your design.

The key rules of creating a minimalistic look:

• Less is more! Keep it simple

• Choose neutral shades

• Get rid of anything you don’t need

• Clean simple lines

• Contemporary furniture

Get a nature-inspired look at home with these clever strategies:

• Use mirrors to direct natural sunlight

• Incorporate hardwood flooring and cladding

• Use nature-scented candles and diffusers

• Natural wood furniture

• Wildlife wall art and home accessories

Statement Pieces

Statement pieces are unique, bold, or distinctive
design elements that stand out and draw attention.
Not only are they a focal point of the room, but it’s also a great way to start conversations. Statement pieces can come in many forms such as artwork, furniture, light fixtures, or sculptures. We love the Black Horse head
on top of a wooden plinth. It draws attention, it’s unique and it definitely gives the wow factor – especially
for those horse lovers!!

Decorating for the Autumn season?

A good rule of thumb is to start when the weather begins to change. Although the first official day of Autumn falls around September 22nd, you might not want to hit the pumpkin patches quite yet if it’s still too warm outside!
