Tried & tasted tipples

Looking to be visited by Christmas spirits this year… make sure they are local with these top notch gins.

The local gin we have available these days is of an excellent quality, and many of them have the awards to prove it. Here at Places&Faces HQ we have undertaken the difficult job of trying just a few of the gins the region has to offer. Don’t just grab a bottle of Gordon’s off the supermarket shelf, be daring and sample a local brand, we are certain you will prefer the superior taste. This is just a small sample of the gin Norfolk and Suffolk has to offer to get you started. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and get discovering… and let the party be’gin.

Tipple tips

ZOOM & SHAKE

Don’t let the social distancing rules out the kibosh on your cocktail night…

Zoom and shake. If you are organised send out an ingredient list and Zoom call your friends whilst you all make the cocktails together and then chat and enjoy. Remember to make sure you are all at the same stage otherwise some of you will still be shaking whilst everyone else is sipping, and nobody wants that.

USE A JIGGER

This essential piece of kit provides quality control and enables you to get the exact proportions correct every time.

MAKE A COMPLEX DRINK IN BATCHES

If you are serving the same cocktail multiple times it can become a never ending task. Mix larger batches and store in a sealed container in the fridge and then re shake over ice when needed. You will look like a pro and get the drinks out quicker allowing you to join in the fun rather than being shackled to the shaker.
