Weekend Jan-21

Here at Places & Faces HQ we’ve been busy choosing our top picks for safely going out or snuggling up inside this January. Here’s what’s happening locally and on your TV screen this month…

STAYING IN

WATCH

Soul

Disney+

January might be drab and dark, but you’ve got your new pyjamas from Christmas and some leftover chocolates – it’s time to settle down with a nice family film. Disney+ has provided the feel-good factor we all need with Soul, Disney/Pixar’s newest animated comedy.

Joe Gardner (voiced by Jamie Foxx) is a school music teacher who gets the chance of a lifetime to play at the best jazz club in town. But one small misstep takes him from the streets of New York City to The Great Before – a fantastical place where new souls get their personalities, quirks and interests before they go to Earth. Determined to return to his life, Joe teams up with a precocious soul, 22 (voiced by Tina Fey), and discovers the answers to some of life’s most important questions.

Drink

Little Snoring ‘proper sleep’
